Dr Sameer Mihrshahi
I completed my undergraduate medical degree with Honours at the University of Sydney in 1997, trained in General Surgery and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2005.
Following this I spent 2 years in sub-specialist training in Upper Gastrointestinal and HPB Surgery, firstly at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, and was then awarded the Lister Fellowship in Pancreaticobiliary Surgery at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
I commenced consultant practice in the UK for 4 years in Upper GI and HPB surgery, relocating back to Sydney in 2010.
I have VMO (Visiting Medical Officer) positions at Macquarie University Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, Ryde Hospital, and this year Southern Highlands Private Hospital.
I am currently Head of Department for General Surgery at Ryde Hospital, and was previously Clinical Discipline Head for General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at Macquarie University Hospital.
I try to combine surgical expertise with a personal and thoughtful approach to your care.
